Optical film, metal samples, and a jeweler’s loupe on a dark bench

Atelier

How a piece is stacked.

  1. 01

    Skin-facing film

A dielectric stack on a polymer carrier. Structural color, laminated so the iridescence sits toward the body and the room.

  2. 02

    Bond

Optical adhesive, thin enough not to cloud the stack. Chosen for skin-safe jewelry, not for a circuit board.

  3. 03

    Structure

Stainless core for the Band and Collar. Technical knit plus mineral-ceramic yarn for the Wrap and Veil.

  4. 04

    Exterior

PVD graphite, obsidian, pale silver, or nickel. Matte on purpose. The flash belongs to the film, not the plating.

Materials we name

Dichroic and dielectric PET films. Mineral-ceramic staple yarns. Stainless and PVD. Silk for the Veil. We do not license another house’s FIR trademark, and we do not assemble a filtered parabolic mirror against the skin. That architecture is not ours.

How we cut

First run is five hundred numbered pieces. Cuffs are formed, film is laminated, edges are dressed by hand. Wraps are cut and bound in a small knit shop. If a piece fails incoming inspection, it is not numbered. There is no seconds bin on the site.
